| RNR Hosting can register and manage any
number of domains you wish. We will register
your domains with either Network Solutions
or Register.com and will act as the technical
contact for these domains. RNR Web would
be happy to assist you with the process of
finding and choosing the right domain names
for your business. Even if you're not ready
to have a website, you may leave it "parked" on
our servers for as long as you want.
In addiion, RNR Hosting will be happy to
either host or park a site you have previously
registered with another service. We will
provide you the information you need to setup
the IP and/or DNS entries you need when you
sign up for our services. If you need assistance
with changing your DNS or IP, you just need
to let us know. We are always there to help
you.
We can create web address forwarding for
any number of your domain names so that they
will point towards a single website. For
example you could have registered three different
domain names and have them all point to a
single web site.

What can a Domain Name contain? A
domain name may contain letters, numbers
and the dash (-). Most names are automatically
prefixed with "www". Most names
end with a three letter suffix of which .com,
.org, .net, .biz and .info are the most popular.
Three endings that you may have seen that
are reserved for special organizations are
.edu (educational institutions), .gov (United
States Government institutions), and .mil
(military organizations). There are also
numerous two letter suffixes which have become
popular such as .cc, .ws, and .tv. Domain
names cannot begin or end with a dash, and
no space is allowed before, between, and
after your domain.
You can have up to 67 characters now (include
the top level domain) in order to increase
search engine placement, such as internetmarketingcenter.com.
However, some web browsers may not be compatible
with names longer than 58 characters. Try
to keep it below that length for greater
compatibility. |
